My friend’s sister passed away last night from an unexpected brain aneurysm. While chatting with him during his time of deep introspection, he sent me this text:
“It’s life man. Price of admission to all these great experiences is the certainty of death. Just gotta make the most of what life has to offer and die with no regrets.”
He’s right. Not just physical death but the death of all things. Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. And yes, I just quoted Supersonic’s “Closing Time”.
In memory of her, may we all cherish our loved ones just a bit more.
